Results of the Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec's Annual General Meeting
The Board of Directors of the Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (ᐃᓚᒌᓴᕐᒃ-Ilagiisaq-FCNQ) and Cooperative delegates met in Montréal, May 15-18. The meeting included the FCNQ's 2016 financial results and progress reports from the FCNQ departments, divisions and subsidiaries, as well as reviews of their cooperative projects, financial results and projects for economic development during the FCNQ's fiscal year.

The Conseil québécois de la coopération et de la mutualité (CQCM), founded in 1948, recognizes the contributions of people who have given exceptional services to the cooperative and mutualist movement. On March 16th, during their latest annual gala, the CQCM celebrated and honored all those who have contributed to the socioeconomic development of Québec. This year, two persons from the Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ) had the honour of receiving the Ordre du Mérite coopératif et mutualiste québécois.

Makivik and FCNQ Sign Historic Agreement to Create New Company to Develop Renewable Energy in Nunavik
Inuit leaders from Makivik Corporation and the Fédération des coopératives du Nouveau-Québec (FCNQ) are pleased to announce the creation of a jointly owned company to develop renewable energy projects in Nunavik. It will be a 100% Inuit-owned company.
